IPAC Newfoundland/Labrador (IPAC NL)
About our Chapter
Purpose
IPAC NL supports a unified approach to safe, quality healthcare through the promotion of infection prevention and control standards and best practices. IPAC NL also supports and promotes the general and specific goals of IPAC Canada.
Our Members
Our membership spans the continuum of care, from acute and long term care to community/public health. We are fortunate to have membership from diverse backgrounds including, clinical nursing staff, physicians, laboratories and industry representatives. Our members are very engaged in expanding our membership base and all are encouraged to be actively involved in Special Interest Groups. Newfoundland & Labrador is comprised of four Regional Health Authorities (RHA). Many members cover vast geographical areas including isolated clinics and provide consultation in a variety of settings.
Meetings
IPAC NL meets the first Wednesday of each month. Meetings begin with education sessions that are presented by each of the RHA's in turn.
